ClubCalypso

The idea for ClubCalypso is to provide unique, yet easy to wear designs for an effortlessly cool and timeless summer wardrobe. We're focused on making functional, reliable pieces ideal for travelling and day to night wear - the pieces you find yourself reaching for time and time again when packing for a holiday. Our pieces are currently designed and crafted in Melbourne, with a focus on making small, limited batches.

As a marketing student, I initially started ClubCalypso as a passion project to grow my portfolio by building my own brand around some designs I had sketched up in my free time. I’ve always been drawn to old fashion editorials from the 80’s and 90’s - photographers like Jean-Daniel Lorieux, Patrick Demarchelier, Helmut Newton, and Elaine Constantine come to mind as major inspirations for ClubCalypso’s visual identity. In a time where algorithms tell us what’s in and what’s out, what to buy and what not to buy, I wanted to ClubCalypso be a nostalgic, yet refreshing brand that people can just simply enjoy for its unique approach to storytelling. From eye catching campaign imagery to curated “mixtapes”, I want to give audiences a chance to escape and embrace the world of ClubCalypso.
